Our Key Objectives

Child Development

KTfHD ensures children grow in safe, inclusive, accessible, and supportive environments where they can learn, participate, and realise their full potential, and gain confidence. We strengthen learning, life skills, and socio-emotional development, while prioritising strong child safeguarding and protection systems across different stages of childhood. By engaging families, schools, and community institutions, we ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to protected, enjoyable development.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP & EMPLOYABILITY PATHWAYS

KTfHD empowers young people to transition confidently into adulthood by building their skills, aspirations, and leadership capacities. Through structured learning modules, community-based platforms, and the optimal use of local knowledge and resources, youth are supported with life skills, career guidance, and exposure to livelihood and employability opportunities. The approach promotes active participation, responsible decision-making, and social responsibility, enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to their communities while pursuing dignified and sustainable futures.

FOSTERING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS & KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

Fostering collaboration across local, national, and international stakeholders to enable shared learning, innovation, and scalable impact. KTfHD is an active stakeholder in the long-standing town-twinning initiative between Herrsching am Ammersee (Germany) and Chatra Gram Panchayat (Baduria Block, West Bengal), ongoing since 1996. This partnership facilitates regular student letter exchanges, cultural interactions, and dialogue between the two municipalities, and delegation visits. It also plays a key role in supporting community development initiatives, including improving access to safe drinking water for villagers in Chatra.
