KTfHD wanted to contribute towards the society and its objectives were formed on the principles of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). But since most of them remained underachieved by its target year, KTfHD continued to work adopting Millennium declaration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under Agenda 21. The SDGs are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly and Agenda 21 is a non-binding action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development.

KTfHD has been working with conceptual collaboration of Indienhilfe e.V. Herrsching, a German NGO working in India, specially West Bengal, in the fields of Education, Health, Self-Help-Groups of Women, Empowerment of Women, Income generation and Agriculture, for over thirty five years. KTfHD has always taken interest and part in Indo-German collaboration for the benefit of Indian people and societies. It has also involved itself in Indo-German Cultural exchange, Town twinning of Herrsching (Germany) with Chatra (West Bengal) and School Partnership (in terms of letter exchange between students) between Bavaria and Chatra, West Bengal, by means of knowledge and logistic support.
